The House on Mountain Road

Share Project :

Rose and Manuel bought their house in the '50s. They raised two generations here. By the time I visited, it spilled over. Clothes on hanger racks in the narrow hallway, a year's worth of roasted chile packed in the freezer, and her unmatched collection of salt and pepper shakers. She didn't ask if you were hungry; she asked how many eggs you wanted, then argue if it was less than four.
After Rose died her grandson Damien and I documented what was left before the house went up for sale.
